Photo Restoration

I was asked to restore the colour to an old photograph that had suffered from direct sunlight fading. In addition, one of the subjects in the photo was to be removed. This was quite a complex process as there was only a hi-res scan of the photograph to work on and not the original negative. The original photograph was printed onto a textured paper which is more complicated to work with than modern photographic paper. I was able to restore the colour to a more natural looking pallet and remove the other subject, recreating the arm that was originally hidden. The final restored and edited photo was printed on modern paper and was supplied ready to be reframed.
